Health Care Communications: Freedom of Information & Reputation Management
09-Dec-2011 - 09-Dec-2011
Location:
Toronto, Ontario
Communicators play an important role in building trust between Ontario hospitals and the communities they serve. That role will become even more important on January 1, 2012, when Ontario hospitals will become subject to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). Hospital communicators need to prepare for the impact that FIPPA will have on their roles and their organization.
Conference Participants Will Learn:
• How to prepare for FIPPA implementation. Compare your organization with other organizations in Ontario. Find out what are they doing and how they are doing it.
• What to do in different FIPPA related situations using mock scenarios
• Internal communication best practices in the new era of Freedom of Information
• How to address media
• Reputation management techniques
