Created in 1998 as the original MCMASTER UNIVERSITY MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE PROGRAM, “CONTEMPORARY MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE FOR HEALTH PROFESSIONALS” has graduated over 1200 health professionals to-date.
This effective medical acupuncture training consists of five three-day Units (Fri-Sat-Sun) completed within four months, plus a concurrent home study portion with current and seminal acupuncture articles from the medical literature. A McMaster University Certificate of Attendance accrediting 300 CME hours is provided to all students upon graduation. Anatomy laboratory sessions, live patient’s demonstrations, and daily needling workshops where students practice over 300 supervised insertions throughout the program guarantee the accomplishment of the intended learning objectives.
